The new competition is important for two major use cases.
The plan is to apply the same agentic logic inside Blender and Python, with heavier outputs but higher-quality 3D results.
For the next competition, we aim to move toward Blender and Python.
The Three.js competition has shown exactly what procedural 3D assets can do.
Every competition on Subnet 17 is designed to make 404 more useful and better suited for real 3D workflows.
We are currently in the third form of 3D representation produced by Subnet 17, with each competition building on the last toward Large Spatial Models.
